Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise, an American actress and writer most famous for her role as Ginger Grant on the television show Gilligan's Island during the 1960s. She began acting as a stage performer in the 1950s beginning by performing in Two's Company a musical by Bettle Davis. After that, she acted on Broadway in a variety of productions until 1957 in which Li'l abner was big in the National Theatre. In 1957, she made her debut album entitled It's Time for Tina. Louise started the first phase of her Hollywood career in 1958, when she played Griselda Walden in God's Little Acre, a drama film. It was an enormous hit and Louise received an award called the Golden Globe Award for the New Star of the Years category. While in New York, Louise enrolled at Actors Studio and began her friendship with Lee Strasberg. In 1964, she signed with CBS and portrayed Ginger Grant. Louise was able to balance her career across Broadway TV and Hollywood playing more serious characters as opposed to her perception of being a glamour girl. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. SG-1, and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In recent years she's also been an acclaimed director of well-known TV series like Supernatural as well as The 100. Born in Essex, Ontario on 27th August, 1965. Her family moved to Toronto around the age of three. She spent her childhood there as well as her adolescence. Samantha Carter settled in Vancouver, Canada after her selection for the role of lead.
