Ina Garten is well-known American cookery book author and Emmy award-winning host of Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa which began in 2002 and aired 27 seasons until 2020. Ina Garten began her career in the White House where she wrote the nuclear energy policy as well as budget reports. Though she initially found it intellectually stimulating she eventually became bored. Then she bought a Barefoot Contessa a small speciality food shop. It took her 18 years to make the business extremely profitable before selling it off and grabbing a pen to write her first cookbook. Numerous other books as well as newspaper articles were published. In the meantime the Food Network show was also successful. Additionally, she offers everything from equipment to cooking supplies and containers. Ina has never attended any cooking institute and hasn't worked in restaurants. She is self-taught. Her name is ascribed to her simple method of cooking, and her effortless take on entertainment.
