Born on October 18, 1984 American alpine skier Lindsey Vonn who is now retired won four World Cup competitions and the downhill gold medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Vonn has the second-highest super score among all skiers, male and female. She is the top skier in history and is the one of the most well-known athletes throughout the United States. Lindsey American World Cup alpine ski racer Caroline Vonn also known as Lindsey Vonn competes for the US Ski Team. She won four World Cups. She is one of the most popular athletes in American the history of sports. She is one of just six females who have won in all five World Cup competitions in alpine. Overall, she's achieved an impressive 82 World Cup championships. An elite skier and one of America's most popular ski racers has taken a decision to step down following the World Championships that take place in Sweden. After battling a number of illnesses and injuries, the four-time World Cup champion has decided to step down. Her announcement of retirement was made on social media. In the coming week, I'll take part in the final race to end my career in the Downhill World Championships as also at the SG World Championships held in Re Sweden.
