Born on October 18, 1984 American alpine skier Lindsey Vonn who is now retired won four World Cup competitions and the downhill gold medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics. Vonn has the second-highest super score among all skiers, male and female. She is the top skier in history and is the one of the most well-known athletes throughout the United States. After battling a number of illnesses and injuries, the four-time World Cup champion has decided to step down. Her announcement of retirement was made on social media.
