Zoe-perry

Perry is she is Chicago native, birthed to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. She made her first appearances in television shows in the role of Jackie Harris, a character which was played by her mother in her role on the ABC show Roseanne. Her parents did not allow her to start acting in front of her family until an adulthood stage, because they were concerned about the anxiety it could create. Perry confessed that she wasn't at ease in the stage during high school, but started acting to meet new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry managed to get tiny TV roles on Law & Order: Criminal Intent following her graduation. However, her homesickness led her back to California and she returned performing on stage. In 2013, she appeared in The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. In 2015, she starred alongside Kevin McKidd alongside her mother in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer-winning Drama Anna Christie. Odyssey Theatre Ensemble Odyssey Theatre Ensemble is located in West Los Angeles. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of the ABC thriller The Family in 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. The actress was also featured on The CBS comedy The Big Bang Theory spinoff Young Sheldon as a version younger Mary Cooper, Sheldon Cooper's mom. Despite having a family connection to the character she received the role via an audition.
